“Your Voice Your Future”
On January 30th an hour-long program was held at Cedarville University that focused on finding solutions to the national opioid crisis. The town hall meeting was sponsored by WSYX TV ABC 6 in Columbus, OH.
Featured panelists in the town hall were Dr. Marc Sweeney, dean of the school of pharmacy at Cedarville University and InXite Health Systems Chief Pharmacy officer, Christopher Menapace, assistant fire chief for the city of Whitehall, Ohio, Gov. Mike DeWine who joined via video. The town hall meeting was moderated by Eric Bolling.
The town hall was broadcast live on WSYX TV and select Sinclair stations in Ohio. All Sinclair stations streamed the town hall on their digital and social media platforms.
Bolling, a former Fox news anchor, became interested in the opioid crisis after the sudden death of his college age son 14 months ago. He is holding these town hall meetings across the country; the Cedarville is his first town hall event in Ohio. Both students and the general public had the opportunity to ask questions. The hope is that by educating the public with these types of meetings, Bolling can help make a difference. Be on the lookout for more meetings like this one in your area.
