InXite Health Systems is looking for a Desktop Support Intern who will assist the IT team with a wide range of projects related to IT Support. This internship is designed to be both educational and practical. In this position, the intern will learn how to take skills she or he may have acquired in school related to his or her particular areas of interest, and apply them in a professional setting. He or she will gain a better understanding of the role that IT Support can play in a small company as we experience growth, and be better prepared to work in the arena of IT.

Assist in the day to day responsibilities and tasks in our information technology department, including assisting company users with minor computer issues.

Assisting in installing and setting up new computers for new employees

Managing and tracking our company’s inventory system, including updating quantities, generating reports about inventory, and logging all pertinent information about the items

Assist the manager of technology in developing new processes to improve upon managing priorities and responsibilities within the department

Basic troubleshooting tasks that arise on a day to day basis in IT

Monitor and update tickets in our project management software

Work one on one with all employees in our company to help resolve issues

Become educated about how a company’s IT department runs efficiently and effectively

Recommended GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale

Working towards a degree in Computer Science, Business Administration and/ or related fields/and or equivalent experience

A firm interest in information technology; a willingness to learn and adapt as new projects and priorities become apparent

Some knowledge with Windows operating systems

Any prior knowledge with a CRM would be helpful

Someone who is personable as many of your responsibilities are working directly with other employees in our company

Multi-task and be pulled into many interesting projects

Develop a proficiency in CRM management, cloud computing

Understanding of LAN, WAN and Internet functions

Knowledge of Network protocols, concepts and terminology

Required Skills
